PM Imran Khan meets with COAS Gen Bajwa

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Monday met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the Prime Minister’s office on Monday. According to sources, the matters of current national security were discussed during the meeting. The members of the federal cabinet and other officials were also present in the meeting. The meeting was also given briefing on the Indian aggression along the Line of Control (LoC). They also discussed the Afghan peace process, Indian ceasefire violations along LoC and regional security during the meeting. Earlier, military leadership insists on keeping army away from political matters and clarified that Pakistan Army has nothing directly or indirectly to do with any political activity in the country on Monday. This was stated by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Director-General of Inter-Services Intelligence (DG ISI) Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed during a meeting with parliamentary leaders last week and discussed administrative affairs of Gilgit-Baltistan. During the meeting, the military leadership said that the army will continue to help civil administration, whenever it is needed and stressed to keep the army away from political matters.
