PM Imran Khan opposes NCOC proposal to ban congregations across country

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan opposed the proposal of the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC) to ban the congregations across the country.

He was of the view that the opposition would get a chance to be the oppressed if a ban was imposed on political congregations due to coronavirus.

He also directed the provincial governments and district administration to allow the opposition to hold public meetings.

The prime minister directed the ministers to keep an eye on the coronavirus situation.

Sources said that the NCOC had recommended a ban on congregations during a meeting of the National Coordination Committee. They added that a ban could be imposed on schools, marriage halls and other congregations if the coronavirus cases increased in the country.
