PM Imran Khan orders to deal Urea hoarders with an iron hand

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered to deal the hoarders of Urea with an iron hand.

Addressing a meeting to review the demand and supply of Urea on Friday, he said that 25,000 tons of Urea is being produced daily which is sufficient for the need.

"The country received record crops of wheat, sugarcane, cotton and maize last year," he added. 

He said that farmers had purchased additional Urea after getting bumper crops last year. "The government is focusing on provision of Urea to get maximum crop and ensure food protection this year," he added.

The prime minister ordered the staff concerned to take all possible steps for an effective system of the Urea supply chain.

The meeting was attended by Energy Minister Muhammad Hammad Azhar, Finance Ministe Shaukat Fayyaz Tarin, Industries Minister Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, information Minister Ch Fawad Hussain, Minister for National Food Security Syed Fakhar Imam, MOS on Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib, SAPM on Political Communication Dr Shehbaz Gill and senior officers concerned.
