PM Imran Khan orders to make facts of Murree tragedy public as soon as possible

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered the investigation committee to make the facts of the Murree tragedy public as soon as possible.

Addressing a meeting of the party and government spokespersons on Monday, he directed the authorities concerned to handle the matter in a scientific way.

He stressed the need for overcoming the shortage of accommodation in Murree. "Could the Murree tragedy averted?" he questioned. Punjab Government Spokesperson Hassan Khawar briefed the meeting about the Murree tragedy.

The prime minister said that tourism is a new reality in the modern world. "Tourism has increased manifold, but the infrastructure is decades old," he added.

He said that it was mandatory to improve the old infrastructure along with the construction of new hotels. "It is a challenge to provide standard accommodation to tourists," he said.

PM Imran Khan lauded the efforts of the Pak Army and the civil institutions in the rescue operation.
