PM Imran Khan reviews implementation of NSC decisions to curb coronavirus

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan presided over a meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) to review the implementation of the decisions made by the National Security Committee (NSC). He was briefed about the latest situation of coronavirus across the country. All the chief ministers, who were present through the video link, briefed about the steps taken in their respective provinces to combat coronavirus. Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri, Interior Minister Ijaz Shah, Adviser on Finance Hafeez Sheikh, Special Assistant on National Health Services Dr Zafar Mirza, Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant for Overseas Pakistanis Syed Zulfiqar Abbass Bukhari and others were also present on the occasion. Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus patients have increased to 76 across the province. In a tweet on Monday, Sindh Government Spokesman Murtaza Wahab said: “So far 50 people who had arrived in Sukkur from Taftaan have tested positive for coronavirus – 25 at Karachi and one at Hyderabad. So the total patients have reached 76 in Sindh. Out of these 76 patients, two have recovered and the remaining 74 are being kept in isolation.” https://twitter.com/murtazawahab1/status/1239423769560702977?s=20 On Sunday, the tally in country had gone to by 47, out of which 34 were from Sindh. Three patients returned from Saudi Arabia a few days ago and tested positive for the virus in Karachi on Sunday. The fourth patient has no recent travel history. Of the 21 cases in Sindh, two have recovered and been discharged and 19 are under treatment.
