PM Imran Khan says mindset of the past damaged country

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the system of cruelty cannot work in any society. Addressing a ceremony with regard to the tax award on Wednesday, he said that even billionaires want to play duck and drakes with the people of the nation. “It is difficult to collect tax from the people,” he said. The prime minister said that the mindset of the past had damaged the country a lot. “The people will pay the tax if the rulers will pay it. We will have to respect those paying the tax as they are VIPs of the country,” he maintained. He was of the view that 1.7 million tax filers cannot bear the burden of 210 million people. Imran Khan said that the gas deficit had increased to such extent that no one was ready to give the loan. “The gas companies would have closed if they had not increased the gas prices,” he said. He said that the he had ended 30 percent expenditures of the Prime Minister House. “We have to promote the system of simplicity,” he added.
