PM Imran Khan says no threat from opposition's All Parties Conference

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan said that there is no threat from the opposition's All Parties Conference. Addressing the federal cabinet on Tuesday, he said that the nation is fully aware of the objectives of the opposition. "Nawaz Sharif's address to APC will prove his political death." The prime minister snubbed Minister for Planning Asad Umar and Minister for Human Rights Shirin Mazari for exchanging hot words with each other. He said that there is no personal opinion of the ministers. "No minister will talk about sensitive religious issues," he added. PM Imran Khan expressed his indignation at construction of jail in Green Area. "Pakistan is already a victim of climatic changes. Protection of green areas is the priority of the present government," he added. He directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to investigate the matter immediately. The cabinet members were of the view that the APC was in fact 'Abu Bachao Tehreek'. The forum also discussed 18-point agenda as well as including political situation. The meeting was briefed about the bill on improving prosecution to control sexual harassment. It was also briefed on improvements in the energy sector. The meeting endorsed the decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) taken on September 9 and 16. The federal cabinet has decided to reduce the prices of 94 lifesaving drugs. It also okayed the formation of different cantonments. It approved the appointment of Appellate Tribunal chairman and the Finance member under the Electric Power Act. The approval of the Climatic Tribunal chairman was also granted during the meeting. The cabinet also approved the agreement between the Foreign Ministry and the International Centre for Migration Policy Development.
