ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has appealed to the people to cooperate with the government to eliminate tax-evasion from the society. In a special message on Friday, he said that the country is in quagmire of debts and it could not get out of it without the nation. “The amnesty scheme is a golden opportunity for the people,” he said. “The government got loans to pay off the interest. During the last 10 years, foreign debts reached Rs30,000 billion from Rs6,000 billion.” The prime minister said that Pakistanis had wholeheartedly donated for the people affected by the earthquake and flood. He said that an end to corruption would be ensures at all costs. “The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has all data. I do not want people should face difficulties,” he said, urging the people to help the government to steer the country out of the difficult situation. He said that the country, if the nation wants, could collect Rs8,000 billion each year. The prime minister said that assets could be declared by June 30. Reiterating the resolve to end corruption, he said that the government would not spare the corrupt.
