PM Imran Khan summons key meeting to review Pak-India ties

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has summoned a key meeting to review Pakistan's ties with India on Friday.

According to the sources, Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi and senior officials of the Foreign Office were also summoned. The premier will take a review of the current status of the relationship between the two countries after recent developments.

It was also reported that the relations with India will be decided after the briefing.

A day earlier, the federal cabinet meeting rejected the ECC's proposal to import sugar and cotton from India.

Earlier this month, Indian PM Narendra Modi wrote a letter to PM Khan, wishing him on Pakistan Day. The Pakistani premier also responded to Modi’s letter expressing a desire for peace in the region.
