PM Imran Khan takes notice of felling of trees in Gilgit and Diamir

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken notice of felling of trees in Gilgit and Diamir.

He ordered Special Assistant to PM on Climate Change Amin Aslam to hold an inquiry into the matter.

Meanwhile, the prime minister has decided to appoint four armed contingents of Frontier Constabulary (FC). The forest guards with the FC personnel will take action against the timber mafia.

He directed the anti-timber mafia teams to be vigilant round the clock.

Amin Aslam said that stern punishments have been enforced to deal with the people cutting trees illegally. He said that action would be taken against responsible people.
