PM Imran Khan urges all Pakistanis to express solidarity with Kashmiris today

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged all Pakistanis to come out today at 12 noon-12.30 pm to show solidarity with the Kashmiri people and send the Kashmiris in IOK a clear message that the entire Pakistani nation stands in solidarity with them against Indian fascist oppression and the inhumane 25-day curfew. In a series of tweet on Thursday, the prime minister said that the daily injuring and killing of Kashmiri civilians, including women and children, is all part of the ethnic cleansing agenda of the Modi government and it is illegal annexation of IOK. “The plan to change demography of IOK is a war crime under 4th Geneva Convention,” he said. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistanis must send a strong message to Kashmiris that the nation stands resolutely behind them. “So I am asking all Pakistanis for half an hour tomorrow stop whatever you are doing and come out on the road to show solidarity with the Kashmiri people,” he urged. In Occupied Kashmir, the Kashmir valley remains under severe military siege for 25th consecutive day, today, as hundreds of thousands of Indian troops continue to enforce strict curfew and other restrictions to prevent people from staging anti-India demonstrations. The Kashmir valley is under strict lockdown since 5th August when Narendra Modi-led communal government in New Delhi stripped occupied Kashmir of special status by repealing Article 370 of the Indian Constitution. The occupation authorities have converted the Kashmir valley into a military garrison by deploying hundreds of thousands of Indian troops and paramilitary personnel in every street, line and by-lane to stop people from staging demonstrations against the abrogation of special status of the territory. However, people defying the curfew and other restrictions have been staging protests to express their resentment against the Indian occupation and nefarious move of Modi government. At least 500 incidents of protests have occurred in the occupied territory so far during which hundreds of people have been injured due to the firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells on the protesters by Indian forces’ personnel.
