ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz said that Prime Minister Imran Khan wanted a further decrease in the power rate for the industry.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, he said that a 25 percent relief had been given on extra electricity for the Small and Medium Industry and two slabs had been made one. "Economy has stabilized and growth is positive, while exports have been increased," he added.

He said that work on repatriation of Nawaz Sharif was underway through the Foreign Office. "The prime minister will talk to his UK counterpart when he will consider it appropriate," he added.

The minister claimed that the textile sector had gained momentum and orders were beyond its capacity.

He said that the construction industry had activated.

Shibli Faraz said that the government had planned to announce a reasonable support price for wheat that will help reduce the artificial shortage of flour in country.

He said that the opposition is pursuing such narrative which was harmful for the national institutions. "The opposition played the last card in the form of the FATF bill which failed badly. It wants to put the system at stake for a family," he added.

He said that the damage being caused to the institutions was unacceptable. "We do not want a situation like Syria and Lebanon in Pakistan," he said.

The minister claimed that the opposition had eliminated the culture of the rule of law and promoted the culture of nepotism.
