ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has warned of an increase in the coronavirus deaths in the coming days. Talking to the media after a meeting on Thursday, he announced to monitor the implementation of coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the country. “Shops, markets and factories not following the SOPs will be closed. Deaths are increasing due to coronavirus and people should adopt precautionary measures,” he said. He said that the administration and Tiger Force would take action against those violating the coronavirus SOPs. The prime minister said that the government had not clamped a tight lockdown despite pressure to save the people from starvation. “Now other countries are following our policies with regard to the lockdown,” he said. He said that the opposition is trying to hold the government responsible for increased deaths. “The government is in a difficult time. The opposition wants to benefit from the situation. It wants an increase in deaths to criticize the government,” he said. Imran Khan said that a person had returned to Pakistan as if he wanted to give a solution to coronavirus. “The former rulers used to go abroad for treatment even if they sneezed. Thanks God, the government did not succumb to any pressure regarding the lockdown,” he said.
