PM Imran meets King Salman, vows to stand by S Arabia against security threats

RIYADH (92 News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan called on Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz on Thursday and discussed bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, regional peace and global political situation.

Imran Khan condemned attacks on Saudi oil facilities and vowed to protect Saudi Arabia in case of any security threat to the Kingdom.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office, Prime Minister Imran also briefed King Salman on the current situation in occupied Kashmir.

King Salman expressed his resolve to support Pakistan's stance on the Kashmir dispute and latest situation in the Indian occupied Kashmir.

Both the leaders also talked about other matters of mutual interest including trade, investment and economic relations.

Also present on the occasion were Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis Syed Zulfikar Bukhari, Foreign Secretary Sohail Mehmood, and Pakistan's ambassador to Saudi Arabia Raja Ali Ejaz.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran also met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah and Pakistani personalities before proceeding to the United States to attend General Assembly session.

PM performs Umra

Prime Minister Imran Khan performed Umra side by side Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Advisor Abdul Hafeez Sheikh and Zulfi Bukhari.

The premier prayed for the defense of Pakistan and nation.
