LAHORE (92 News) - Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said Prime Minister Imran Khan's visit to Iran carries much significance as the premier will attempt to remove misunderstandings between the brotherly countries to avoid war. Talking to 92 News, the FM said war between the two countries would not only harm the Muslim Ummah but also damage security environment of the region. "We hope to prefer peace and remove misconceptions through diplomacy," Qureshi maintained. He said the problem had several aspects while different countries had different stakes, adding global efforts to resolve the problem also remained unsuccessful, but it didn't mean that efforts be discontinued for peace. Pakistan is the only country in the world that has deep relations with both states, Qureshi said and added that one is our neighbour while the other has strategic relations. "Both the countries trust Pakistan while the United States is too relying on us."
