FAISALABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Friday inaugurated modernized shelter home set up by Madina Foundation in Faisalabad. As part of the government’s Panahgah (shelter home) initiative, a shelter home set up by Madina Foundation for the destitute has been opened in Faisalabad. The premier visited the shelter home to review the facilities as Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar warmly welcomed PM Imran Khan. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by 92 News CEO Mian Rasheed and Madina Foundation chairman Mian Muhammad Hanif. 92 News Editor-in-Chief Haider Amin was also present in the inaugural ceremony. Meanwhile, Commissioner Ishrat Ali, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali and RPO Riffat Mukhtar Raja also attended the ceremony. The shelter home has built near the general bus stand in Faisalabad. The prime minister thanked Madina Foundation Chairman Mian Haneef for building a modernized shelter home. Imran Khan toured the shelter home to review the facilities being provided by the government to homeless people. On the occasion, the premier was also briefed about facilities by the administration. PM Khan expressed happiness after reviewing the facilities at shelter home. After inauguration of the Panahgah, the prime minister also offered special prayers. He also ate lunch at the shelter home. It is pertinent to mention here that a mosque and library have also been built at the shelter home. A day earlier, Mian Muhammad Hanif, Faisalabad Commissioner Ishrat Ali, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali and RPO Riffat Mukhtar Raja and SSP Operations Syed Ali Raza visited the temporary shelter home and expressed their satisfaction with the arrangements made for homeless people at General Bus Stand. The shelter home has started catering to the needs of the destitute in the chilling weather. A Mehfil-e-Naat was also held on the inauguration of the shelter home. Madina Foundation chairman Mian Muhammad Hanif said that helping the have-nots is according to the Islamic laws. Hot clothing, quilts, blankets and bed sheets have been provided to the poor in the shelter homes. The foundation will also provide three-time meal to the people living in it. In addition, they will also be provided with medical treatment. The people forced to stay under the sky have termed the shelter home a blessing.
