PM lauds performance of Punjab Assembly in legislation

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday. The prime minister, Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) discussed the matters related to the legislation in Punjab Assembly and development projects in the province during the meeting. The prime minister lauded the performance of the Punjab Assembly in legislation. During the meeting, matters pertaining to coalition, legislation and development projects came under discussion. The prime minister stressed the need for an enhanced coordination between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the PML-Q to enforce the development agenda of the government.
PM directs FM to consult opposition once again on NAP
Earlier today, PM Imran Khan has directed Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to consult the opposition once again on the National Action Plan (NAP). The foreign minister called on the prime minister. During the meeting, PM Khan directed FM Qureshi to remove the oppostions’s reservations regarding the meeting and the opposition members should be briefed wherever they please. It was reported that the premier also instructed the foreign after removing the reservations of opposition, the dialogue on the matter of military courts should also move forward. However, the minister has said that they are ready to brief the opposition members in the chambers of Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif. “Along with parliamentary members, I am ready to brief the whole House,” he explained.
PM, Qureshi discuss appointment of members of ECP
The prime minister and FM Qureshi also discussed the appointment of vacant posts of members of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) during the meeting. Earlier, the prime minister chaired the first-ever meeting of the National Internal Security Committee at the Prime Minister’s Office.
Pakistan to  not allow any militant group to operate in country
Prime Minister Imran Khan has reiterated Pakistan’s commitment not to allow any militant group operate in the country or use its territory for any militant activity within or outside Pakistan.
