ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the first-ever National Security Policy of Pakistan on Friday.

The policy articulates a citizen-centric framework, placing economic security at its core and seeking a secure and economically resilient Pakistan.

On this occasion, the PM said that it affects national security when they go to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). "But under compulsion, they have to go to the  IMF. If national economy would be weaker, then defence will be weaker. I pay tribute to the armed forces for making the country secure,” he added.

The PM said that the rule of law is a challenge in Pakistan. “In ‘Riyasat-e-Madina’, there was rule of law. There is no one superior than the law."

National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister Moeed Yusuf said that it is wish that youth ask questions from them regarding the  policy. “We are bound to provide details to they national committee every month. Policy should be public,” he added.
