SOHAWA (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday laid the foundation stone of the Al-Qadir University for Sufism, Science and Technology in Sohawa. Addressing the groundbreaking of Al-Qadir University, the prime minister said that the country had divided into parts when the ideology was become dead in 1971. “We could not provide justice to the masses and the country divided into parts,” he said. “It is time to help the people of erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), adding that Balochistan has been lagging behind in terms of progress,” the premier mentioned. Referring to the Al-Qadir university, the premier said it will help understand the principles of the state of Medina. Imran Khan has expressed the hope that Al-Qadir University will impart modern education to youth on the basis of ideology of Pakistan. He said Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) had emphasized for attaining education in order to excel in life. The prime minister said no society can progress without education. He said the Muslim world produced eminent scientists and researchers in history because they followed the teachings of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) in letter and spirit. He said when he started politics 23 years ago his aim was to translate into reality the vision of our founding fathers. He said Pakistan was to establish as an Islamic welfare state on the pattern of Madina. He said state of Madina was based on upholding of law and justice and it took responsibility of the welfare of poor, elderly and women. Imran Khan said justice and welfare of people are prerequisite to keep a country stable and secure. PM Khan said Al-Qadir university will impart not only education in science and technology but also give them spiritual training. He said the university will produce scholars who will assume the leadership role and will counter the western influence and negative propaganda against Islam. Imran Khan expressed hope that Al-Qadir University will give scholarships to 35 per cent students and they will be given free education and accommodation. Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari visited Sohawa to review arrangements for the foundation laying ceremony of the university. Speaking on the occasion, he said the Al-Qadir University would give both Islamic and scientific education to the students and help them become morally, intellectually and spiritually accomplished persons. He said the concept of setting up the Al-Qadir University was to realize the Prime Minister’s dream of providing equal opportunities of education to the youth. Bukhari said besides contemporary studies of religions with emphasis on Sufism, the university would also have focus on science and technology.
No nation can progress without quality education: PM
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that no nation can progress without equipping its youth with good and quality education. Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of Hyderabad University, the prime minister said dispensation of justice and provision of education are the two pillars of the idea of ‘Naya Pakistan’.
He also said the government believes in investing in the human capital of Pakistan to ensure durable development and progress. He said education provides the real security to a country and the nation. He said no society can progress without imparting quality education. The premier said a skilled and educated youth can play a pivotal role in uplifting a country and elimination of poverty. He said higher education is a pivot for progress and development and Hyderabad University will be developed on technical and scientific grounds. PM Khan assured full support of the federal government in the establishment and development of the Hyderabad University.

Imran Khan further said that Al-Qadir University is being established in the private sector at Sohawa in Jehlum, where science and Sufism will be taught to promote tolerance and present true picture of Islam.
