PM leaves for Malaysia on two-day visit

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has left for Malaysia on a two-day visit on Monday. The prime minister is going to Malaysia on the invitation of his counterpart Mahathir Mohamad. He is accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar and Adviser on Commerce Abdul Razaq Dawood. During the visit, both the leaders would have tete-a-tete, followed by delegation-level talks. They will witness signing of important agreements and MoUs, and have joint press stakeout. Prime Minister Imran Khan will also address a think-tank event organized by the Institute of Strategic and International Studies of Malaysia. During his various interactions, the premier will share his vision about Pakistan and underline Pakistan's positive contribution to regional and international peace and security. Imran Khan will also highlight the dire human rights and humanitarian situation in occupied Kashmir, emphasize the importance of averting risks to regional peace and stability posed by Indian belligerence, and underscore the importance of peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute. Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan cancelled his scheduled visit to Malaysia. Sources in the Foreign Ministry said that the Malaysian prime minister had been informed about the decision. No Pakistani representative will participate in Kuala Lumpur Summit. 92 News had informed its viewers that there were bleak chances of Prime Minister Imran Khan visiting Malaysia. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Geneva, Switzerland to co-convene the First Global Refugee Forum.
