ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will chair an important meeting of the country’s leadership over national security today (Wednesday). The meeting will start tomorrow at 10.30am at the prime minister office. During the meeting, matters pertaining to situation in Kashmir and other issues will be discussed. The meeting will be attended by the country’s civil and military leadership. Previously, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif returned home after representing Pakistan at the UN General Assembly session and raised the Kashmir issue, highlighting the grave human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir. Addressing the United Nations General Assembly last week, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that peace in the region cannot be established without resolving the Kashmir issue. He said: “Pakistan wants to resolve all disputes, including Kashmir, with India through dialogues. India puts condition for dialogues. Over 500,000 Indian soldiers are committing brutalities against Kashmiris.” Nawaz Sharif said that they are giving documents with regard to human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir to the UN secretary general. “Kashmiris should be given the right to self determination. A fact finding mission should be sent to the Occupied Kashmir,” he demanded. He said that Pakistan had been a target of terrorism. “Terrorists were provided help from abroad. Pakistan is a victim of sponsored terrorism from abroad. Our jawans and innocent people martyred in terrorist attacks. Every kind of terrorism, including state terrorism, should be ended,” he maintained.
