KARACHI (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Friday inaugurated Navy Warship Fleet Tanker in Shipyard in Karachi. Addressing the launching ceremony, he said that he is that Shipyard has built 17,000 tonne fleet. The prime minister said that this initiative will certainly open more opportunities of collaboration between Pakistan and Turkey in the field of indigenous warship construction in particular and other defense sector products in general. "The relations with Turkey will enhance in the future," he added. Nawaz Sharif further announced bonuses for shipyard employees. He said that ongoing development programs including China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) stipulate our aim to achieve maximum output in terms of regional trade and trans-shipment with Gwadar as a focal point. Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reached for Karachi to participate in the launching ceremony of Navy Warship Fleet Tanker. The 17,000-ton heavy fleet tanker has been built with the cooperation of Turkey. The design of the fleet tanker was prepared by Turkey, while built in Karachi Shipyard. The project will further strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey. It is an example of Pakistan-Turkey cooperation and Pakistan's self-reliance in defense. On the other hand, the prime minister will visit the residence of late philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi to express his condolences with the bereaved family. On the occasion, the roads leading to the residence of late philanthropist have been carpeted and garbage from the roads have been cleaned.
