PM Nawaz recommends Rafique Rajwana as Punjab Governor

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday appointed Senator Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana as the new Governor of Punjab. As per reports, the summary to the President from the PM recommending Rajwana for the post has been sent. Senator Rafique Rajwana belongs to southern Punjab and has been associated with PML-N throughout his political career. An active politician, in a statement after his new appointment, said that he will make all-out effort to serve the people of the province. “I assure the prime minister that I will stand up to the expectations of the leadership,” he said. The position had been vacant since Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar resigned on January 29, 2015.
