PM Nawaz Sharif, COAS Raheel Sharif agree to continue operation, ensure security for CPEC project

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheeel Sharif agreed to continue the operation across the country, including Karachi. This was decided during a meeting between both leaders at PM House on Friday. They also decided to ensure security for the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project. They also discussed the Indian aggression. They expressed the resolve to expedite diplomatic efforts for improving relations with Afghanistan. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that the enemy is not tolerating the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, but they would complete it at all costs. COAS Raheel Sharif said that the special security division had started working for the security of CPEC project. “The Indian aggression at the LoC will be raised at the international level. We will forcefully respond if India imposed a war on us,” he said. The COAS also apprised the prime minister of ground activities in Shawal and Operation Zarb-e-Azb. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has summoned an important meeting of the Apex Committee at PM House on September 10.
