PM Nawaz Sharif inaugurates Bhikki LNG power plant in Sheikhupura

SHEIKHUPURA (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated the Bhikki LNG power plant on Wednesday.

Owing to the project, 717 megawatts electricity will be added to the national grid.

The plant was completed in a short period of 18 months.

Speaking on the occasion, the prime minister said that a big project has been completed in 18 months.

“Even a house cannot be constructed in a short span,” he added.

Nawaz Sharif said that the people responsible for loadshedding are threatening of protest and they should be shameful instead.

“Balloki power project will be completed at Rs 84 billion with saving of Rs 52 billion. Haveli Bahadur Shah project will be completed at Rs 90 billion with a saving of Rs 49 billion,” he maintained.

The prime minister said that a total of 8,946 megawatts of electricity will be added to the national grid by June next year due to speedy completion of power projects.
