PM Nawaz Sharif orders to ensure immediate evacuation of stranded Pakistanis

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has ordered to ensure immediate evacuation of the Pakistanis stranded in Yemen. Addressing a high-level meeting on Tuesday, he directed the officials to make satisfactory arrangements for the evacuation of Pakistanis. In a briefing, the officials told the prime minister that a Pakistani delegation comprising of Defence Minister Kh Asif, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Affairs and military officials will leave for Saudi Arabia today. FO Spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam said that the meeting had also decided to play an effective and conclusive role with regard to defence of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East situation. She said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will also contact Muslim leaders in this regard. “The purpose of the contacts is to establish peace in the Middle East, promote unity and end tension.” She said that the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) and Muslim community will be asked to play their role in ending the tense situation.
