PM Nawaz’s open-heart surgery is successful: Pervaiz Rashid

LAHORE (92 News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has on Tuesday said that the open-heart surgery of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was successful. Nawaz Sharif’s heart surgery, only three days before the presentation of Pakistan’s annual budget, with rivals questioning his arrangements for ruling the country during his surgery and recuperation. Previously, in a statement issued by the spokesman for the prime minister Dr Musaddik Malik said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is in high spirit and will return to Pakistan as soon as he recovers from his illness. He said that all the tests of the prime minister have been taken and he will be admitted to the hospital tomorrow for further procedure. On the other hand, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif telephoned his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi and thanked him for his wishes. Meanwhile, the world leaders have prayed for the speedy recovery of the prime minister from his heart surgery. In their separate messages, world leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, and British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond have expressed their heartfelt sympathies and wishes for his fast recuperation.
