PM Office receives Defence Ministry's summary for appointment of new DG ISI

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The PM Office has received the summary sent by the Defence Ministry regarding appointment of the new DG Inter Services Intelligence (ISI).

According to sources, the announcement of the new DG ISI would be made after the approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Sources said that the notification regarding the appointment of the new DG ISI is likely to be issued after approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday.

The summary includes the names of Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum and Lt Gen Sarfaraz.

Earlier on Wednesday, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary said that Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa had completed the consultation process on the appointment of new DG ISI.

In a tweet, he said that the process had been started for new appointment. “The civil and military leadership has yet again proved that all institutions are united for the country's stability, integrity and development.”
