PM's meeting with Jahangir Tareen's group scheduled: Sources

LAHORE (92 News) - A meeting between Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and the group of Jahangir Tareen has been scheduled.

According to the sources, the enraged group of party members will meet PM Imran Khan on Tuesday. The sources also said that Jahangir Tareen was not summoned in the meeting.

"Tareen's like-minded lawmakers would convey his grievances to the prime minister," it added.

On the other hand, Foreign Minister (FM) criticised Jahangir Tareen without mentioning his name. He said that no PTI member was going anywhere. "Draw a line, get there or get there and this partridge will not run," he added.

Earlier on April 19, PM Imran Khan has gave the green signal to PTI enraged leader Jahangir Tareen and hinted at listening to him, quoted sources. According to sources, the delegation of Jahangir Tareen same opinion group will likely to meet the prime minister soon.

The sources also said that the Iftar dinner on April 21 at Jahangir Tareen’s residence has been postponed after receiving a green signal from the Prime Minister office.

It is pertinent to mention here that on the occasion of his two-day appearance in the Banking Court, Jahangir Tareen had reiterated his grievances with the government while talking to the journalists.

Earlier on Thursday, the senior PTI ministers and party leaders launch reconciliation efforts between Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and enraged PTI leader Jahangir Tareen, said sources.

The sources said that the prime minister also gave the green signals for reconciliation with Jahangir Tareen. It added that in the first phase, Tareen will meet members of the assembly.

Efforts have been underway to establish contact between PM Khan and Tareen. Some the federal ministers have made contacts with the enraged PTI leader and are trying to mediate between the two of them.

The group within the government close to Jahangir Tareen has also tried to meet Prime Minister Imran Khan in order to convey reservations of the PTI leader.
