KARACHI (92 News) – Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has termed that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan took over the country in difficult conditions and saved country from bankruptcy.
Speaking to the journalists flanked by MQM-Pakistan leaders outside Bahadurabad headquarter in Karachi on Sunday afternoon, FM Qureshi maintained that the economy has stabilized and the strong ally of the MQM has strongly supported.
“Our internal economic challenges are not hidden from anyone, the country was almost near to bankrupt, then after talks with the IMF, we have returned to stability today,” Shah Mehmood Qureshi said.
“International institutions are acknowledging that Pakistan economy has improved due to the prudent policies of the incumbent government,” the minister mentioned. He said with the efforts of the premier and the PTI government has succeeded to bring economic stability in the country.
The foreign Minister said Karachi is the city of political wisdom and we met today to address the issues of the province. He said that PTI and MQM-Pakistan ideas are quite similar and MQM-Pakistan has always cooperated with PTI in every situation.
Pakistan will flourish if Karachi grows: Maqbool Siddiqui
Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister for Information Technology Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that Pakistan will flourish if Karachi grows as it is the industrial hub of the country.
He also said that the country has come out from the economic crisis and economy of the country is stable now. He assured that the MQM-Pakistan will support democracy as well as democratic government. “We are performing our work and will do party’s work with efficiently,” he added.
The IT minister urged that the special attention should be given to the serious problems of Sindh citizens.
PTI high-level delegation visits headquarters of MQM-Pakistan
Earlier, a high-level delegation of Pakistan Tehreek Insaf, including FM Qureshi and Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, visited the headquarters of Coalition partner, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan.
The current overall political situation, local government election, Karachi and Hyderabad development package announced by federal government were discussed in the meeting.
During the meeting, the MQM-P once again demanded the federal government for released grant, new schemes and Karachi Hyderabad package.
