GILGIT (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s Islam survives if the permit of diesel is given to him.

Addressing a rally in connection with independence of Gilgit-Baltistan on Friday, he said that Indian media is showing Maulana Fazlur Rehman as if he is an Indian national. “No one will come to Islam after watching Fazlur Rehman. There is no need of a conspiracy by the Jews in the presence of Fazlur Rehman,” he said. The prime minister categorically said that he would not give the NRO at any cost. “I will put the looters behind the bars,” he said. Responding to the JUI-F’s Azadi March, Prime Minister Imran Khan said all unemployed and political orphans gathered in Islamabad. He lashed out at the opposition and harshly criticized the Azadi March. He said that the 12 player in the team convincing the political orphans to stage a protest. Imran Khan said the opposition is resorting to blackmailing and pressure tactics. He clarified that they will not be given any National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO). He also said those who plundered the national exchequer which severely hurt the country's economy will have to face accountability. The prime minister said a half of the total tax collected last year was paid in payment of the interest on loans taken by previous governments. He reiterated that no NRO will be given to the corrupt mafia regardless of the anti-government protest that is being held in Islamabad. The prime minister mentioned that those times have gone when Islam was used for political motives to gain power. He also said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has obtained details of the corruption that the opposition parties committed and they are now afraid of accountability. “The opposition parties are holding the protest march in Islamabad to protect the amount they plundered over the years,” Imran Khan said. He regretted that the name of religion is used in politics to make money. He said this is Naya Pakistan and gone are the days when the name of Islam was used to come to the power as the people now fully understands the motives of such elements.

Government to promote skiing, service industry in GB

PM Khan expressed the commitment to uplift the region of Gilgit-Baltistan through promotion of tourism which will benefit the entire country. He said the government is striving to promote skiing and service industry in Gilgit-Baltistan. Negotiations are being held with different foreign companies to develop necessary infrastructure for tourism in this region. He said a private company will soon establish a food processing zone in the area.
