LAHORE (92 News) – The sources said – after the major reshuffle in the federal cabinet – Prime Minister Imran Khan likely to sack other poor performer minister and Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar.
The sources reported that the second time the prime minister’s meeting with the Punjab governor has postponed and it seemed he would be replaced.
It also said that the Punjab governor has announced to hold a press conference tomorrow and he may announce his future course of action.
Special Adviser on information Naeemul Haque met with the Punjab governor
and informed about the prime minister’s message and dismayed over his two-week long visit. Therefore his meeting with PM scheduled on April 20 has been cancelled.
After the postponement of the first meeting, the second meeting was scheduled today, however, it has been delayed again and in contrary, the Punjab governor was directed to remove the reservation raised by the allied PML-Q.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q
) has expressed concerns over appointing Ch Sarwar as patron-in-chief of Ab-Pak authority
The sources further claimed that the Punjab governor
started to launch a campaign to protect his slot and he had met with party leaders Mian Mehmoodur Rashid
and Shafqat Mehmood
PM considering to change Punjab cabinet as well: sources
Earlier, after a major reshuffling in the federal cabinet, Prime Minister Imran Khan is considering to change Punjab cabinet, the sources said.
According to the sources, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar
will brief the prime minister about the performance of all the provincial ministers. The sources also cited that the decision is expected to reshuffle the Punjab cabinet.
The reports said that Imran Khan has summoned progress report of the minister from Punjab chief minister and also sought performance report of the Punjab government from various departments. Fayyazul Hassan Chohan is expected to be re-inducted in the Punjab cabinet.
It was reported that the process of changing ministers have become the tough challenge for PTI leadership, adding that the party is facing difficulty to change or relocate ministers’ despite of their poor performances.
The sources further told that there are many hurdles for the incumbent government including political pressure and compulsions during the reshuffling of cabinet members even their poor performances as well as the hindrance sustained in-house Punjab Assembly.
In this regard, Prime Minister Imran Khan has also summoned Punjab Governor Chaudhry
Sarwar for the consultation. Meanwhile, Ch Sarwar will meet with the prime minister after return from foreign country.
