PM seeks all details regarding foreign trips of Nawaz, Zardari

LAHORE (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan sought all the details of foreign trips regarding former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari. According to the sources, the prime minister directed to the Foreign Ministry for submitting details of the all expenses which had been spent on the medical treatment of Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari’s since 2008. He also sought details of the expenditures from the cabinet division on Nawaz and Zardari’s camp offices and security. The sources said that all the detail of national kitty, which was extravagantly used during the previous governments, will be surfaced. Imran Khan has repeatedly expressed the resolve to make those people answerable who had plundered the national exchequer and burdened the nation with financial woes. He announced that there would be no concession for the former prime minister and president. “There will be no NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance) whatever approach they make to save their skin. I will make them answerable,” he said. The prime minister further said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) had burdened the country with Rs30,000 billion debt which was around Rs6000 billion during the last decade. It is noteworthy that Currently Nawaz Sharif is serving in jail, while Zardari is in custody of National Accountability Bureau (NAB). Earlier, a three-member team of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday arrived at Kot Lakhpat Jail and interrogated former premier Nawaz Sharif in Toshakhana luxury and bulletproof vehicles reference which were filed against him a few days ago.

According to the details garnered, the corruption watchdog body handed over a questionnaire to Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) quid Nawaz Sharif in Toshakhana vehicles case.

The NAB team questioned the incarcerated former prime minister for about an hour in Kot Lakhpat Jail in the room of jail superintendent before giving him the questionnaire which he said he would return after consulting his legal advisers. Reportedly, the NAB team also asked the premier about the gifts, presents and luxury vehicles from different countries which he received.
