PM Shehbaz Sharif approves Najam Sethi's appointment as PCB chairman

- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday approved the appointment of Najam Sethi as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, removing incumbent Ramiz Raja.

A notification in this regard will be issued shortly. The prime minister had received two names for the appointment in the summary sent by the Inter-Provincial Coordination Ministry. 

According to sources, a notification will also be issued to abolish the PCB Constitution 2019 and restoring the PCB Constitution 2014. 

After the issuance of the notification, an interim setup will be announced to run the matters of the PCB. 

The sources said that a four-member interim committee comprising of former cricketers will be formed to select the national team against the New Zealand series.
