PM Shehbaz Sharif asks people to pray for success of talks with IMF

LONDON (AFP) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appealed to the people to pray for the success of the talks with the International Monetary Fund.

Talking to the media outside Avenfield on Friday, he said that the teams from both sides are holding talks.

He said that he was in contact with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar who is leading the talks. "We want the issues with the IMF should be resolved amicably. I held a good meeting with the IMF managing director and French President Emanuel Macron," he added.

Meanwhile, PM Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif for two and a half hours. During the meeting, they discussed political situation as well matter pertaining to the return of Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan.
