PM Shehbaz Sharif decides to form national economic council for broad-based consultation

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to form a national economic council for broad-based consultation.

He was presiding over a meeting of economic team on Tuesday. The meeting discussed the pressure of foreign payments, high indicators of inflation and increasing volume of loans.

Shehbaz Sharif ordered the economic experts to prepare recommendations.

The finance secretary gave a detailed briefing on economic situation, revenues, budget deficits and overall situation of internal and external debts.

The PM directed the economic team to determine the mid and long-term targets keeping in view the economic situation and serious financial threats. He also directed to prepare recommendations to overcome inflation and give a relief to the masses.

He issued special directions to monitor Ramazan bazars and reduce the prices of daily-use items.
