ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif got the vote of confidence from the National Assembly on Thursday.

As many as 180 MNAs reposed their confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto presented the resolution for the vote of confidence. During the voting, Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali walked out from the House.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto presented the resolution for the vote of confidence. The resolution stated: "The National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan reposes its full confidence in the leadership of Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif as the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan."

During the voting, Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali walked out from the House.

Meanwhile, the House rejected the resolution seeking funds for the elections in Punjab. The House resumed the discussion for giving Rs21 billion to the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar presented the resolution for providing funds to the ECP. Expressing his views, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that they would not accept any verdict of the three judges indulging in facilitating PTI chairman Imran Khan. "The three-member bench tried to dictate the government," he added.

JUI-F leader Maulana Asadur Rehman and BNP chief Akhtar Mengal also addressed the House.
