PM Shehbaz Sharif orders to expedite relief activities in flood-hit areas of Balochistan

QUETTA (92 News) - PM Shehbaz Sharif visited the flood-hit areas of Balochistan on Monday.

During the visit, Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudus Bizenjo and the army officers briefed the prime minister about the flood situation. The authorities said that the areas have received 500 percent more rains during the current monsoon.

PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed his grief over the loss of precious lives and destruction of infrastructure in the province. He directed to expedite the relief activities in the affected areas.

He also announced to increase the compensation of damaged or partially damaged houses. He also took notice of unavailability of food at the relief camps.

Meanwhile, the prime minister suspended the officers showing negligence.
