ISLAMABAD (92 News) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is not a political party but a 'fitnah' and a group of saboteurs, directing to register cases against such groups and prosecute them.
Speaking at a meeting on law and order in Islamabad, Shehbaz Sharif said, "This is the third or fourth attack against the federation. No one could have imagined such evil intentions before 2014. Pakistan was humiliated, and its economy was destroyed at D-Chowk for 126 days, and the visit of the Chinese President was also canceled due to the sit-in."
He added, "The President of Belarus completed his visit with a smile and courage. They [PTI] marched on Islamabad on the occasion of the SCO conference. Pakistan's economy suffered such damage that cannot be imagined. The group [PTI] caused destruction. Four Rangers personnel and a policeman were martyred."
He said, "Now is the time to move forward. A few days ago, a group from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa came to attack Islamabad. Protests and sit-ins are costing Pakistan’s economy Rs190 billion per day. The spectacle that was put on in front of the world cannot be described in words."
The prime minister also said, "I have not seen such nefarious thinking in any other political party. They attack Islamabad when rivers of blood are flowing in Parachinar."
He deplored, "Protests were also held during the visit of the Chinese prime minister in October. What greater hostility can there be towards Pakistan? They have no idea that friendly countries want to invest here. Their only agenda is to destroy Pakistan."
He stated, "The economy is stabilising. A decision has to be made whether to hand over Pakistan to this 'fitnah'. Should Pakistan be handed over to this destructive party? The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has no interest in Parachinar. They will not be allowed to destroy Pakistan, and we should break such hands."
