PM summons meeting of PTI leaders, party spokespersons

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Friday has summoned meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and spokesmen to discuss various national issues.

According to the sources, a consultative meeting will be held on Friday evening over the anti-government rhetoric of the opposition parties

The prime minister will issue guidelines to the spokesperson in the meeting. A briefing will be given over ongoing efforts for curbing inflation.

Government strategy regarding bringing back PML-N supremo and former PM Nawaz Sharif from London will also be discussed.

Earlier in the day, Minister for Information Shibli Faraz has said that former premier Nawaz Sharif will be in Pakistan’s jail till January 15.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, Shibli Faraz said efforts are underway to bring back Nawaz Sharif from London. "Imran Khan will not spare anyone. They have launched to attack on the Pakistan Army when the process to repatriate Nawaz Sharif initiated," he added.

"The courtiers of the royal family come to the media every hour for telling a lie. They are very wise because talk about ending the government in January, but they do not tell the year. They will not get a chance even in 2028," the information minister maintained.

Shibli Faraz said that the government will not only punish the corrupt elements but will also recover the looted national wealth. He said the rulers who ruled the country for decades have been rejected by people. He said their politics has ended and their next abode is in jail for plundering the national wealth.

Referring to the arrest of Captain (rtd) Safdar in Karachi, the minister said the video footage showed that he was taken into custody by police in a respectable manner, which exposed the contradictory statements of Sindh government and Maryam Safdar.

Commenting on the achievements of the incumbent government, Shibli Faraz said exports are on the rise; remittances are at a record high level, and construction industry is fast flourishing. He further explained that the record increase in remittances shows trust in the PTI government.
