PM summons PTI core committee huddle today

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has summoned the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) core committee huddle on Wednesday (today). According to the sources, the party members will gather and discuss the prevalent political situation in the country along with underscoring ongoing talks between government and the opposition. The members of the allied parties will also be taken into confidence. The prime minister called for the huddle at 5:30 pm tomorrow. Earlier today, PTI removed the reservations of the PML-Q as another mission to appease a coalition partner ended up with successful negotiation. Adelegation of PTI leaders headed by Defence Minister Pervez Khattak met government allies PML-Q to address their concerns. The PTI delegation included senior PTI leader Jahangir Tareen, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Arbab Shahzad met a delegation of the PML-Q, which included federal minister Tariq Basheer Cheema, MNAs Chaudhry Moonis Elahi, Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Chaudhry Hussain Elahi in Islamabad today. Talking to the journalists after the meeting, Basheer Cheema thanked Khattak and Tareen for understanding of their pain. “Difference of opinion occurs when you live in the same house,” he added. Basheer Cheema mentioned that the PML-Q is ally party of the government and will continue to the coalition partner of the incumbent government. He said that PML-Q had some demands regarding to the development process and expressed the hope that they will be fulfilled soon. Speaking on the occasion, Pervez Khattak said that it was not the first meeting between the parties and said that they had met to remove some misconceptions created by people, without elaborating. He said that the parties were allies before and will remain allies in the future. “The misunderstanding [between us] has been removed and we will complete the five years of this government together,” the defence minister maintained.
