PM thanks Chinese president for principled stand on Kashmir issue

BEIJING (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday thanked Chinese President Xi Jinping and the government for its principled stand on Kashmir issue. The prime minister met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing today and discussed bilateral and regional matters of mutual interests. During the meeting, Pm Khan thanked President Xi for its principled stand on Kashmir issue. He particularly mentioned Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi's stand on Kashmir issue at the UN General Assembly.
Never forget China's financial cooperation
The prime minister said everywhere you supported Pakistan in difficult times. He briefed the president about Pakistan's present situation and said Pakistan has come out of difficult economic situation and we will never forget China's financial cooperation in this regard. “China has never asked anything for its support against our national interest and helped us without any conditionality,” Imrna Khan maintained. He said that China provided Pakistan an opportunity to come out of very difficult economic situation and appreciated the Chinese support under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor framework. Pm Khan congratulated president Xi on the 70th anniversary of founding of People’s Republic of China.
President Xi lauds PM for speaking on China-Pakistan relations in UNGA
On the occasion, the Chinese president lauded PM Imran Khan for speaking on China-Pakistan relations during UN General Assembly’s session. He said both enjoyed close friendly relations and cooperated each other in different fields. “The stance on different matters, there is harmony between Pakistan and China,” he added. Earlier, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan and China signed different MoUs related to the development projects and enhancing relations between the both the countries. While speaking to the journalists at Diaoyutai State Guest House in Beijing, FM Qureshi said Pakistan shared its assessment and feedback from the Indian Occupied Kashmir with the Chinese leadership.
China, Russia want peace, reconciliation in Afghanistan
FM Qureshi said both the sides also discussed the Afghan peace process. He mentioned that China, Russia and other regional countries want peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan and the development in the region for which Pakistan is playing its role. He also said the Chinese leadership had been taken into confidence on all the issues.
Development of Gwadar Port
Regarding facilities to the Chinese investors and entrepreneurs, the minister said the CPEC Authority had been established to provide all facilities to them as early as possible. He said a MoU signed between the two countries is related to the development of Gwadar Port and to make it a hub of regional trade and connectivity.
Water shortage in Gwadar
FM Qureshi said under another MoU, to redress water shortage in Gwadar, a desalination plant of 5000 tons of water per day would be set up by China to provide clean water to Gwadar port and the new Gwadar city.
Cooperation in education sector
The two countries would enhance cooperation in education sector and in this regard a MoU has been signed with Higher Education Commission for smart classrooms.
Improve the lives of disabled people
Another MoU was inked to improve the lives of disabled people as they will be provided with equipment and chair. Similarly, both the countries agreed to help each other for narcotics control and China would give equipment to Pakistan for the purpose.
