PM to award Ehsaas undergraduate scholarships today

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will award need based Ehsaas undergraduate scholarships to the first batch of deserving bright students today (on Monday). The undergraduate scholarships will be given away to around 50 thousand shortlisted needy students. Twenty-four billion rupees would be spent on this four year programme to support two hundred thousand students, half of them girls, from low income backgrounds. As part of the Ehsaas scholarships policy, two percent scholarships will be exclusively awarded to students with special needs. Overall, fifty thousand scholarships will be given every year to enhance financial access to higher education for the deserving students. The objective of Ehsaas scholarships program is to ensure that no eligible student is deprived of higher education because of financial need. In total, 200 thousand scholarships will be awarded during next four years.
