RAJANPUR (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan warned on Friday that make noise as much as possible but the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will hold each and everyone accountable . Addressing a ceremony of health cards distribution in Rajanpur, the prime minister termed that a particular group was looting the country on pretext of democracy. “We will hold every one of them accountable, and we are not going to spare anyone guilty,” he warned. He also mentioned that if any big looter arrested he became Nelson Mandela, adding that if powerful robber held then all the robbers made a noise as the democracy in danger. He also said that the poor are facing prisons and the robbers are in the parliament. “When the palaces of corrupt persons surfaced, they are unable to give even a single document in their defence,” he said.
Imran Khan laments over poor condition of govt-run hospital
He expressed his displeasure over poor conditions of government-run hospitals and lamented the parliamentarians who don’t let local hospitals develop. He has vowed a major overhaul to fix existing ‘dismal’ state of public sector hospitals. The premier said that the government hospitals used to provide better healthcare but the politicians prefer to have their treatment abroad. “I was born in a government hospital, my sisters were too. In the past, these hospitals used to provide standard healthcare,” he said. “But nowadays affluent people don’t prefer to go to government hospital. Ishaq Dar, Nawaz Sharif and his brother also prefer medical treatment, he added. “Naya Pakistan is the Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal,” he stated. He asked what law permits rulers to neglect healthcare of their own country and rely on foreign hospitals. He said even if a parliamentarian has an ailment, he/she goes abroad for treatment.
Nawaz asks either to be sent to prison or to UK for treatment
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif asks either to be sent to prison or to UK for treatment, adding that his treatment cost Rs280 million to the nation in his tenure of government.
PM launches Sehat Insaf Card
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Imran Khan launched ‘Sehat Insaf Card programme’ in Rajanpur. Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Punjab Health Minister Yasmeen Rashid were also present on the occasion. PM Imran Khan thanked provincial health minister Yasmeen Rashid on the inauguration of health cards, which was her initiative. He mentioned that the PTI-led government will provide Insaf health cards to the underprivileged families. According to the health scheme, eight hundred thousand people of Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur and Muzaffargarh districts will be provided health cards by the end of next month. Earlier on February 4, Prime Minister Imran Khan had launched the first phase of ‘Sehat Card Scheme’. Addressing the ceremony in the federal capital, PM Khan said “eradicating poverty is central to our all policies,” adding that people become poor owing to expenses of their medical treatment. It is pertinent to mention here that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had launched the same health card scheme in Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa in 2016.
Sehat Card Scheme
The Ministry of National Health Service, Regulations and Coordination, in collaboration with participating provinces and regions, has completed its procurement to expand its health initiative of “Sehat Sahulat Program” in Pakistan. Through this initiative poor families will be provided with free of cost health insurance to secure indoor health care services worth Rs: 720,000/- from empanelled hospitals. The program will provide “Sehat Insaf Card” to 15 million families in the province of Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh, AJK, GB and old districts of FATA through a very transparent and computerized mechanism. The services which are available from Sehat Insaf Card includes open heart surgeries, insertion of stunts, management of cancer, neurosurgical procures, burn management, accident management, dialysis, intensive care management, deliveries, C section and other medical / surgical procedures. The program will also provide Rs: 1,000 transportation cost to its beneficiaries on their discharge from hospital. It is the leading initiative of the political government in Pakistan through which support and assistance is provided to poor families across the country.
