ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan on Sunday used a Russian writer Ayn Rand’s quote to show the current situation of Pakistan. Taking to the social media website twitter, the premier cited a text by the Russian author, as being a representation and said, “This is so apt for the Pakistan inherited by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.” Imran Khan shared the screenshot of a post in his tweet: “Ayn Rand wrote this almost 60 years ago. It's frightening how accurate this statement is today.” Rand is quoted as saying: "When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion—when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing—when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in good, but in favors—when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you—when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice—you may know that your society is doomed." It is pertinent to mention here that the Russian author is known for two of her best-selling novels: The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged. Later, in another tweet, PM Khan says several initiatives will be launched under Ehsaas program this year to uplift living standard of the poor. “I was delighted to launch the National Poverty Graduation Initiative, one of the several initiatives we will launch under @Ehsaas_Pk this year. The key aim is to lift millions out of poverty by targeting funds, resources and skills training at the most marginalized communities,” he tweeted.
