PM vows to overcome inflation issue soon

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has vowed to overcome the inflation very soon.

The prime minister said while addressing the PTI and allies lawmakers in the dinner hosted by him ahead the approval of the federal budget 2021-22.

He said that the government has faced difficult situations in the last three years, inflation was the biggest challenge for us, but we will overcome this challenge very soon. "The government is taking steps to provide targeted subsidies to the weaker sections," he added.

PM Imran Khan has said that he is bringing fantastic programs to control inflation. "46 per cent subsidy will directly be given to the poor. Food items have to be imported instead of exported. There is a big difference between farm and market prices. Bringing Chinese models to fill the gap. Beneficiaries of the system prevent reforms."

The premier further maintained that despite coronavirus, the government presented a great budget adding that the federal budget will be passed easily.

Imran Khan said the people and mafias getting benefits from the corrupt system will resist and they would create hurdles to protect their privileges. He also said the government faced resistance while introducing reforms in different sectors.

He said Pakistan has been among the few countries of the world which saw unprecedented growth rate of 4 per cent during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Senior members of PML-Q including Tariq Bashir Cheema have not attended a dinner hosted by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan in honour of the government and allies lawmakers at Prime Minister's House.

He also took notice of some lawmakers who have not attended the dinner and directed PTI’s Chief Whip in National Assembly Amir Dogar to ensure their presence. He thanked the coalition partners of the ruling PTI for supporting the federal government.

PML-Q senior members including Tariq Bashir Cheema have not attended the dinner. The lawmakers told the media that Mutton Qorma, Seikh Kabab, Palak, Biryani and other dishes were served in the PM-hosted dinner.

Meanwhile, Talking to the Members of National Assembly belonging to the erstwhile tribal districts in Islamabad, Imran Khan said the development of merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the foremost priority of the government.

The delegation comprises Gul Dad Khan, Gul Zafar Khan, Sajid Khan, Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Malik Fakhar Zaman Khan and Jawad Khan. Imran Khan said the government wanted complete inclusion of the citizens of former tribal districts in the national mainstream.
