PM weighs in on money laundering probes using French economist’s quote

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Sunday weighed in on money laundering investigations using French economist’s quote. The prime minister took his twitter and said, “The truth of saying of French economist Frédéric Bastiat is reflected clearly in the way money launderers are treated and the way they behave with indignation when questioned.” “Fredric Bastiat had said when plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men in society, over the course of time, they create for themselves a legal system that authorize it and a moral code that glorifies it,” he tweeted.
PM Imran Khan, Jahangir Tareen discuss political situation
A day earlier, the disqualified PTI leader Jahangir Tareen called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at PM House. Sources said that they discussed political situation.
Jahangir Tareen briefed the prime minister about his meeting with allied parties. He also apprised the PM of the reservations of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) regarding implementation of the six-point agenda. They also discussed the new law pertaining to agriculture, livestock and new local bodies law.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) stalwart leader and a close aide of Prime Minister Imran Khan Jahangir Khan Tareen has termed that he always attend all meetings on the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s will as well as desire. Responding to concerns of Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the PTI leader said that he only accepted his leader as Imran Khan and liable to him for any query. “I have no concern with the strange reasons of others. It was his fundamental right to serve the interests of Pakistan. No one [including Shah Mehmood Qureshi] can restrict me from serving the country,” Jahangir Tareen said.
