April 23, 2020
LAHORE (92 News) – The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has appealed to the government and Ulema to review the decision about the lockdown. Addressing a press conference on Thursday, the PMA office bearers said that the next 2-4 weeks are very important with regard to the coronavirus epidemic. “The cases may exceed lakhs.” They feared that the situation could reach the point lest they should treat the people on roads. The PMA office-bearers said that the government would have to make the decisions like the Saudi Arabia and Turkey governments. “No act spreading coronavirus should be done in Ramazanul Mubarik,” they added. They called for following the lockdown policy strictly. “There is no treatment for coronavirrus and being careful is the best way,” they said. They said that a six-foot distance between two persons is impossible in mosques. “People should offer prayers and Taraweeh at home,” they concluded.
