ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has demanded fixing of the petrol price at Rs50 per liter. Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the benefit of the reduction of the POL products should be given to the masses. “The electricity and gas prices can be reduced by one-third. Though the NAB has taken notice of the sugar scam, but we neither trust government nor the NAB,” he said, adding that the objective of the inquiry is to save the facilitators of the scam – PM Imran Khan and CM Usman Buzdar. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that a major part of the exported sugar was sent to Afghanistan. “As per our information, the exported sugar was not sent to Afghanistan, but it was sold out in the international market,” he declared. Announcing to appear before the Sugar Commission, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Khurram Dastgir said: “We are writing a letter to the commission. An attempt is being made to shift the onus on to a few mills.” MNA Khawaja Asif said that the PML-N would not allow the government to rob the masses of their rights. “The government is favouring the PTI Youth Wing under the garb of Tiger Force,” he said.
