LAHORE (92 News) – The Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) lawmakers on Monday continued protest outside Punjab Assembly and called to restore six lawmakers who were banned last week. The PML-N boycotted the proceedings of Punjab Assembly and chanted slogans against speaker Pervez Elahi. The PML-N also made it overtly clear that sit-in would continue till restoration of membership of six suspended lawmakers. On the occasion while speaking to the journalists, Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz said that they don’t accept unilateral actions of Punjab Assembly speaker Pervez Elahi against PML-N’s lawmakers. Terming suspension a result of fake decision, Hamza apprised attendants that not even a single such decision has been taken in the past. He also lambasted Pervez Elahi over becoming voluntarlity spokesperson for National Accountability Bureau (NAB). “In the past, Elahi had expected Pervez Musharraf as his leader. At present, he has switched loyalties and made Imran Khan his leader,” he said. On October 16 during budget session, opposition tore apart copies of the budget and destroyed furniture near speaker’s dias. The MPAs were barred from entering the House after they allegedly caused a ruckus and destroyed government property during a budget session on October 16. The PML-N has since staged protests outside the House and called for an end to the ban. On the other hand, circular and photos of banned MPAs were given to security staff to stop them from entering the building.
